Antam?s Q1 earnings soar on higher prices, steady cost

Publicly listed state miner PT. Aneka Tambang TBk. (Antam) on Thursday reported unaudited first quarter net earnings of Rp.62 billion (US$ = 8,850), a 50 percent increase compared to previous year?s corresponding period earnings.
The company said the increase was due to higher nickel and gold prices and steady cost of goods sold.
Antam?s first quarter revenue increased 17 percent to Rp.402 billion, a 32 percent increase to US$ 45 million in dollar term.(alex)
