IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) has decided to look for a new partner to help realize its smelter grade alumina (SGA) project in Mempawah, West Kalimantan.
Antam President Director Tato Miraza said on Thursday that the company has failed to reach agreement with the initial Chinese investor.
He said that the company has received interest from other investors, both domestic and foreign to help in the development of the SGA project.
?We?re still in discussion (with the new would be partners). It?s not easy,? he said, hoping that an agreement could be reached before the end of this year.
Antam is planning to develop a 1.2 million-ton per annum-capacity SGA plant, which was projected to start operation in 2017.
