Antam sees increased nickel ore export to Japan despite Tsunami

Jakarta-listed state miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk reported on Wednesday that it planned to export 2.4 million wmt of nickel ore to Japan, up from 2.2 wmt last year.
The company said its export to Japan is still ongoing despite the earthquake and Tsunami that hit the country recently.
?Antam is still expecting sales to Japan can be carried out according to contracts but is also preparing for possibility to switch shipment to other buyers if necessary,? the company said.
Antam?s Japan long-term customers are Pacific Metals Co.,Ltd, Sumitomo Metal
Mining Co.,Ltd dan Nippon Yakin Kogyo Co.,Ltd. (NYK).(alex)
