Publicly listed mining company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) is selecting a number of strategic partners to jointly build its new nickel processing plant, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.
Antam's president director Deddy Aditya Sumanegara said in Jakarta last week that a number of companies had expressed keen interest to jointly build the US$1 billion nickel procession plant.
"But we could not unveil their names right now because they are now under selection process," he said. According to him, the selection process is based on four main criteria including their proposed financing scheme.
He said that the new nickel processing plant which would use a chemical technology was expected to further increase the capacity of the company's existing nickel processing plant. (*)
