Antam signs MoU to sell electricity to PLN

IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) signed on Friday a MoU with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN for the sale of electricity from its recently completed 2x30 MW coal-fired power plant in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi.
Antara quoted Tri Suharsono, General Manager of Antam?s Southeast Sulawesi nickel business unit, as saying that his company will allocate 5 MW of the new power plant?s capacity for PLN to be distributed to its customers in the regency.
The report said that Antam will sell the electricity to PLN at a price of Rp 650 per kWh.
Antam has recently completed the construction of the 2x30 MW coal fired power plant to provide electricity for its Pomalaa ferronickel plant, the capacity of which is being expanded. (*)
