IDX-listed mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (Antam) said that its 2x30 MW coal-fired power plant in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, on October 27 started supplying its excess power to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
Antam said in a statement that the supply followed an agreement made by the company with PLN on October 21, under which the utility firm will purchase excess electricity from the Kolaka power plant owned by Antam, which will supply up to 5 MW.
Antam has recently started operation of the 2x30 MW power plant to support its Pomalaa ferronickel complex in Kolaka Regency.
