Antam to have new independent commissioner

Publicly listed general mining company Aneka Tambang is selecting a new independent commissioner in a bid to further improve the transparency in the company.

The company?s corporate secretary Dohar Siregar said in Jakarta over the weekend that the selection for the independent commissioner was held with the help of independent consultant Ernst & Young.

The independent commissioner who will represent the minority shareholders would be submitted for approval during the company?s annual shareholders meeting early next year. (*)
