IDX-listed mining company PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) Tbk has set a target to ramp up ferronickel and gold production this year as demand rises, President Director Tato Miraza said.

The firm planned to increase ferronickel output by 10 to 15 percent this year from last year?s production target of 18,000 tons, Tato said on Monday.

?Our production of ferronickel exceeded target last year to 18,210 tons,? he told Petromindo.com.

On gold, the president director said that the company aimed to boost production by about 15 percent this year from that of last year?s output target of 8 tons as an effort to offset risks of planned-export ban policy on Jan. 12

He said that the firm produced over 9 tons of gold last year, outpacing the target.

On the plan to issue Rp1 trillion bond, the president director said that the firm is still reviewing the global financial market condition.
