Antam to sign MoU with foreign investor for SGA project

IDX-listed mining firm PT Antam Tbk is set to sign a MoU with a foreign investor this month for the construction of its planned smelter grade alumina (SGA) plant in Mempawah, West Kalimantan, Bisnis Indonesia reported Friday.
Antam Corporate Secretary Tri Hartono declined to disclose the identity of the investor as talks are still ongoing, but said that it has the necessary experience, technology, and funds to help finance the planned 1.2 million tons per annum-capacity SGA plant, which is projected to start operation in 2017.
