Antang criticized for failing to follow local regulations

Hulu Sungai Selatan regency administration in South Kalimantan has criticized coalminer PT Antang Gunung Meratus (AGM) for failing to give financial contribution to the regency as required by existing regulations, local daily Banjarmasin Post reported Wednesday.

The company also has not build roads for its operations in the area as obliged by existing laws. Moreover, AGM has never submitted to local authorities the names of its board of management, the paper quoted regent M Sapi?i as saying Monday.

He suggested therefore that AGM stop its coal mining activities in Hulu Sungai Selatan. (*)
