Coal miner PT Antang Gunung Meratus, a subsidiary of IDX-listed coal firm PT Baramulti Suksessarana Tbk, is set to exceed last year?s coal output as production as of the third quarter of this year has already reached 4.7 million tons, or the same as the total output in 2014.

?Until third quarter, (production) has reached about 4.7 million tons. The target (for 2015) is 7 million tons,? said Baramulti Director Erick Rahardja last week.

Antang operates a 22,433-hectare coal concession in South Kalimantan, comprising of six blocks, of which only the South block 3 is currently in production.

Baramulti has allocated US$7.02 million in capital expenditure this year primarily to help boost future production at the Antang concession. Erick said that about half of the capex plan has been spent.
