Anugerah Bara Kaltim upbeat to meet its 2012?s production target

East Kalimantan coal miner PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim (ABK) is upbeat to meet this year?s target of 6.5 million tons despite the current slowdown of coal prices in the market, an industrial source told Petromindo on Monday.
The source said that the company?s management even requested to ramp up production target to 6.8 million tons to meet additional demand from prospective buyers
ABK has mineable reserves of 65 million tons with the majority of the products branded as Loa Jana A and Loa Jana B Coal which have a CV between 4900-5300 (NAR) with sulphur of 0.1-0.2%.
ABK covering 4,050 hectares in Kutai Kartanegara produced about 5.5 million tons of coal last year and the majority of it was exported to China, Taiwan, India and Japan.
