In its presentation, the company said that it would develop coalmines in two locations ? one in Teweh Tengah district and the other one in Gunung Timang district, both located in the Barito Utara regency.

?If the local government issues a license according to our plan, we can start exploration activities next year,? the company?s staff, Harmadi said.

The local administration warmly welcome the company?s investment plan but it warned that the license would be issued only to those which show a strong commitment to develop the economy in the area. (*)
