APAC Coal reports illegal drilling activity at its coal concession

ASX-listed mining firm APAC Coal Limited reported on Thursday the presence of illegal drilling activities at the concession area held by its subsidiary PT.Batubara Selaras Sapta

?Representatives of the drilling company, have now approached the Board of APAC to discuss the scope of works performed to date. The Board, in its complete discretion, is currently performing due diligence on the parties concerned and is assessing whether there is a benefit to entering into a commercial arrangement to access data obtained from these activities. Such an arrangement will only be entered into if the data is reliable and serves to substantially advance APAC?s drilling and mining programme,? the company said.

APAC through its subsidiary PT.Deefu Chemical Industries has 100 percent stake at PT.Batubara Selaras Sapta, which mining concession is located in Pasir regency, East Kalimantan with JORC-compliant resource of 5.12 million tonnes. The mine is now in pre-production stage. (denny)
