APCO said KBC had supplied to it materials about the geothermal project and that it had only put it into a news release.
?The reality is somewhat more down to earth. We were distributing an analysis by some of the foremost geothermal experts in the world. This analysis was put together by our client, the lawyers of Karaha Bodas, ? APCO Indonesia Managing Director Hans W. Vriens said.
Pertamina on Monday issued a press release containing complaints from Prof. David S. Chapmen from The University of Utah in the United States who said that APCO Indonesia had misinterpreted a workshop paper prepared by Pertamina?s geologist Imam Rahardjo. Chapmen was quoted in Pertamina?s press release as saying that APCO Indonesia had wrongly stated in its news statement that Imam?s paper contained an estimation of power generation potentials which could be developed in Karaha Bodas project.
