Apexindo bags $2.8m new drilling contract from VICO

IDX-listed drilling firm Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk has acquired a new contract worth US$2.8 million from Vico Indonesia for the use of its Rig 8 from VICO Indonesia in Semberah, East Kalimantan.

The new contract has a higher day rate compared to the previous contract's. The Rig 8 will be used to drill 5 wells for approximately 230 days, the company said in statement on Monday.

Rig 8 is a land rig with rated horse power of 1,000 HP.

Apexindo provides drilling service for both onshore and offshore. It has 8 onshore rigs and 6 offshore rigs. The latter consist of four submersible swamp barge rigs: Maera, Raisis, Raissa and Yani; and two jack ups Raniworo and Soehanah. (denny)
