Apexindo begins operation of its new offshore rig

Publicly listed oil exploration company PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk has officially started the operation of its new offshore rig Yani Rig, one of three offshore rigs currently owned by the company.

Apexindo?s corporate secretary said in Jakarta on Thursday that the new rig began operation last month to carry exploration activities at TotalFinaElf Indonesia?s fields off East Kalimantan

Apexindo, a subsidiary of publicly listed energy company PT Medco Energi International Tbk, is the owner of Yani Rig, Raisa Rig and Maera Rig. The Maera Rig which stopped operation last year due to damages caused by fire has also resumed its normal operation. (*)
