Apexindo buys FPSO unit

IDX-listed drilling service company PT Apexindo Pratama Duta bought a floating production storage offloading (FPSO) unit from its newly-parent company PT Mitra Rajasa Tbk. to strengthen its oil and gas drilling services fleet

The FPSO was purchased from Mira International Holdings Pte Ltd, a unit of Mitra Rajasa through its subsidiary Apexindo Raniworo Pte., Ltd for US$90 million, Apexindo said in the prospectus on Tuesday.

Apexindo said that it will hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting on November 13 to seek shareholders approval for the purchase of the FPSO unit.

Currently, Apexindo has 8 land rigs and 6 offshore rigs which consist of four submersible swamp barge rig: Maera, Raisis, Raissa and Yani; and two jack-up Raniworo and Soehanah.

Apexindo was controlled by the Panigoro family before Mitra Rajasa bought the family's stake recently. (*)
