Apexindo gets $43.9m drilling contract from Total

IDX-listed drilling rig provider PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk said it had secured a drilling contract from Total E&P Indonesie for its offshore rig ?Raisis?.

The contract is part of TOTAL?s drilling program located in Handil area, East Kalimantan, the company said.

The contract is valued approximately US$ 43.9 million for a firm period of one year with one-year extension option until end of 2010.

Raisis is one of Apexindo?s four swamp barge rigs being contracted by Total for exploration and production activities in East Kalimantan and the rig has been working for Total since April 2001. (denny)
