Apexindo launches jack-up rig Soehanah

Publicly listed drilling contractor PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk has launched its newest jack-up rig Soehanah in PPL Shipyard, Singapore recently.

The deep drilling offshore jack-up rig Soehanah, launched on March 10, 2007, is equipped to drill high pressure and high temperature wells of 30,000 feet and operating in 375 feet water depth, Apexindo said in statement last Saturday.

The new jack-up rig Soehanah is one of super premium jack up rigs worldwide built based on Singaporean based firm SembCorp Marine's PPL Shipyard?s proprietary design, the Baker Marine Pacific 375 Class.

The rig Soehanah has already secured a 3-year contract worth $170 million for the development of Total?s Sisi and Nubi gas fields in Mahakam PSC, East Kalimantan starting first quarter of next year.
