Apexindo secures onshore drilling contract

Publicly listed drilling contractor PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk has secured a contract worth US$1.98 million from Medco E&P Indonesia to carry out onshore drilling job at the latter?s upstream operation in Tarakan, East Kalimantan.
Apexindo corporate secretary Ade S Satari said Tuesday Apexindo was currently mobilizing the RIG 15, a 750-horsepower land drilling rig, to the location. The contract period is July 1 ? December 17, 2006.
Both Apexindo and Medco E&P are subsidiaries of publicly listed oil and gas firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. (Denny)
