Apexindo secures onshore drilling contract from Medco E&P

Drilling contractor PT Apexindo Pratama Duta said Wednesday it had secured a contract worth US$1.39 million from Medco E&P Indonesia for the use of its Rig #15.
In a statement to the Jakarta Stock Exchange Apexindo said the rig would be used to carry out an onshore drilling program. The company however did not say where the location of drilling activity.
According to Apexindo?s website, the rig is currently located at PT Medco E&P?s upstream operating area in Tarakan, East Kalimantan.
Both Apexindo and Medco E&P are subsidiaries of publicly listed oil and gas firm PT Medco Energi Internasional. (Robert)
