Apexindo signs $100 m contract

Drilling contractor PT Apexindo Pratama Duta has secured extension contracts worth US$100 million to supply two offshore rigs for a local unit of French energy giant Total SA. The Jakarta Post reported on Tuesday.
Apexindo will lease out the Raissis and Yani, submersible swamp barge rigs, to Total E&P Indonesie for the next three years in contracts valued at $46.9 million and $53.1 million, respectively, the publicly listed firm said Monday.
The rigs will be used in the Tunu field in East Kalimantan.
Apexindo is a subsidiary of the country?s largest publicly listed oil and gas firm, PT Medco Energi Internasional. (*)
