Thomas Azali said that the contract is effective January 2010, but he did not specify the price of the coal under the contract.
The company is targeting to sell 1.2 million ton of coal this year and the sales volume will increase to 1.5 million tons next year, he said, adding that all the coal is delivered by its trading unit, who takes the coal from South and East Kalimantan coal mines. He, however did not name the miners.
?Our coal mine in East Kalimantan is not producing yet. We thus now prioritize coal trading,? he said.
For the domestic market, the company has secured contracts to supply 24,000 tons per month to cement maker PT Indocement under spot contract. Other buyers are PT.Semen Tonasa, PT.Semen Gresik, and paper maker PT.Tjiwi Kimia, he added. (denny)
