APMC to increase domestic coal sales

Mining and trading firm PT Asia Pacific Mining Resources (APMC) targets to increase 2009 coal sales to 1.2-1.5 million tonnes this year from 1.1 million tonnes last year, a company official said.
VP Thomas Azali told Petromindo.Com that half of the coal would be sourced from its mines in South and East Kalimantan and the balance from third parties.
Thomas said the company would increase domestic market sales to 80 percent this year from 50 percent last year as domestic market commanded better price.
The company has already secured contracts to supply 100,000 tonnes each this year to cement plants PT.Semen Tonasa, PT.Semen Gresik, PT.Indocement and paper maker PT.Tjiwi Kimia. (denny)
