Apolo Gold announces appointment of former Barrick Gold Indonesia executive

Canadian junior gold miner Apolo Gold Inc. announced on Monday appointment of Tim Scott as Vice President Operations for the Company's gold and silver project in Sumatra.

Scott, who resides in Jakarta, is a 25-year resident of Indonesia, is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, the national language, and has extensive mining experience in Indonesia. This experience includes an 8-year period as administrator and President of Barrick Gold Corporation Indonesia, where he oversaw an extensive exploration budget for Indonesian projects. He was also President of Kalimantan Gold Corporation Ltd. in Indonesia for 3 years.

Scott will be responsible for daily production issues at the mine site and work directly with Peter Bojtos, who is providing more comprehensive technical direction on production and recovery issues at the mill site in Sumatra

The Company's metallurgical consultant, Process Research Associates Ltd., is currently conducting further tests and analysis of the recovery process from the concentrate prior to finalizing the future design of the electrowinning circuit. At the same time, he is reviewing the milling process in order to optimize the recovery of gold and silver.

Exploration on the Company's 1,667 hectare NUP and KBU properties will be directed by the Company President, who will devote his full attention to necessary exploration priorities on these two properties. This will include additional drilling to further locate and define the structures and mineralization.(*)
