Gold : 32.3 grams and 47.2 grams/tonne for an average of 1.16 oz Gold per ton
Silver: 1,420 grams and 1,844 grams/tonne for an average of 47.95 oz Silver per ton
The metallurgical test results on this high-grade zone indicate very good gold and silver recovery. These tests are continuing and will not be completed for another 10 - 12 days, said the company.
For the past 15 years, Apolo Gold and other companies have drilled a total of 36 holes totaling 10,000 feet on the NUP property. There are 43 trenches completed with an excavator across the mineralization averaging 3 feet wide and 12 feet deep for 12, 000 feet of trenching. There have been over 2,400 rock samples sent out for analysis. All trenches, drill holes and rock samples are from the same 5-hectare area on the NUP property.
These samples from shaft #4 and shaft #5 represent a small portion of samples taken from this 5-hectare area, which has 20 shafts and drifts within this area. This 5-hectare mineralized area is 1,500 feet long, 1,000 feet wide, 200 feet deep and is open at both ends. It has great potential for a large low-grade open pit operation.
Apolo Gold Inc. continues to work aggressively to prove up the area for an enhanced production program in the near future, said the company in a statement. (alex)
