Canadian junior mining firm Apolo Gold Inc. announced on Tuesday that it had delivered numerous samples from its Nepal Umbar Picung (NUP) gold project in Lampung, Sumatra site to a Vancouver laboratory for further analysis.

The company said composite muck samples from Shaft #4 and Shaft #5 were extracted by the Company's geologist at the NUP property on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, and were delivered to the Vancouver laboratory for metallurgical testing to determine the recovery of Gold and Silver from this Camp Zone area.

This area is where Apolo Gold has already determined a drill indicated tonnage of 80,000 tonnes of gold and silver mineralization grading an average of 7.1 grams Gold (Au) per tonne and 235 grams Silver (Ag) per tonne, with an estimated gross value of US$8,000,000.

Results of the metallurgical testing have indicated a value of 25.6 grams Au per tonne. Silver values (Ag) will be available in 7 to 10 days along with a detailed metallurgical testing report of Gold and Silver recoveries, said the company.

?The Company expects to return to Sumatra later this month where they expect to commence a bulk sampling production program by mid to late November 2003. Personnel have been contracted to assist in the anticipated production program of about 200 - 300 tons per day, said the company in a statement.(alex)
