April oil output falls on heavy rains (update 1)

Indonesia?s oil output fell 1.9 percent in April after rains disrupted drilling in Sumatra and Java islands.

Output fell to 925,000 barrels a day in April from 942,000 barrels a day in March, according to data provided by the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. Condensate production, however, increased to 126,700 barrels a day in April from 120,000 barrels a day in March.

Chevron Pacific Indonesia, the country?s number one oil producer, produced 459,000 barrels per day in April, a company spokesperson said.

Oil exports reached 289,000 barrels per day, while imports reached 286,100 barrels per day in April. (godang)
