Arc Exploration: Field activities at Bima

Thursday, February 17 2011 - 12:26 AM WIB

(17 February, 2011)--Arc Exploration Limited advises that some civil disturbances occurred in East Sumbawa, Indonesia last week as a result of protests by an anti-mining group.

The overall impact of the disturbances to our exploration activities has been minimal.

Managing Director John Carlile commented: ?The Government authorities are very supportive and our work is continuing at Bima. Nonetheless, in light of recent events, we consider it prudent to slow some of our field activities at Bima and focus on the interpretation of geophysical data and compilation of outstanding soil and trenching results from the project.

This approach keeps things moving forward at Bima and also allows time for the dust to settle following the recent disturbances.?

The Company has three projects; Bima, in East Sumbawa, Trenggalek in East Java and a Strategic Alliance with the Anglo American group in Papua. (ends)
