The results provide further encouragement for high-grade gold-silver resources in the project area. Five holes tested the Kenong Vein over a 200 m strike-length to a depth of 100 m. Kenong is one of at least six parallel veins identified within the Kojan Vein System in the north-western part of the Trenggalek IUP, the company said in statement.
These holes were drilled around a high-grade gold-silver intercept of 1.9 m at 11.28 g/t Au and 293 g/t Ag within 6.6 m at 4.89 g/t Au and 149 g/t Ag previously reported in TRDD 35, it said.
All five holes returned strong gold-silver intercepts in a narrow (1-2 m wide) banded quartz-adularia-clay vein hosted in propylitic-altered andesite and intrusive breccias.
The Kojan veins lie on large NNW-trending structural lineaments that extend for several kilometres. Only a small portion of these structures has been explored. The occurrence of high-grade vein-float boulders located to the north and east of the prospect suggests there is excellent potential for multiple vein sources along strike and down-dip of the known veins.
Grid-based soil sampling and prospecting is underway to identify further drill targets, it said. (kanti)
