Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Minister Arcandra Tahar has been installed by the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry as the Vice President Commissioner of the state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, replacing Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, The Jakarta Post reported on Tuesday.

The event took place on Monday afternoon, with the board of directors and commissioners of the state-owned giant in attendance.

?[Edwin] will be re-assigned to be the firm?s commissioner,? the ministry said.

Former state-owned enterprises minister Tanri Abeng was also appointed as an independent commissioner and to be president commissioner of Pertamina.

Arcandra was just installed as an energy and mineral resources deputy minister in early October. He was previously removed from his position as energy and mineral resources minister after only 19 days in office following a controversy surrounding US citizenship. (*)
