Arie Ariotedjo to run in election of ICMA chairman

Arie Prabowo Ariotedjo, CEO of coal mining firm PT Medco Energi Mining International stated that he is ready to run in the Indonesia Coal Mining Association's (ICMA) chairmanship election next month.
ICMA is currently led by Bob Kamandanu, whose term will end this month. The organization is scheduled to hold an election to select a new chairman for the 2015-2018 period.
Arie will compete with two others candidates including Milawarma, CEO of PT Bukit Asam Tbk, and Pandu Sjahrir, CFO of PT Toba Bara Sejahtera, Tbk.
Arie told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that if elected, his mission is to empower the association to better protect and accommodate the aspirations of its members, and become a partner of the government to help develop a healthier coal mining business climate.
