London-listed coal mining firm Asia Resource Minerals plc (ARMS) appointed Amir Sambodo as its new CEO during an annual general meeting on Friday.

Amir was an independent non-executive director at ARMS and a commissioner at IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk, in which ARMS controls more than 80 percent stake.

ARMS had already announced June 12 that Amir would replace Nick von Schirnding as CEO as the company aims to focus on Berau Coal following the completion of a separation from IDX-listed coal giant PT Bumi Resources Tbk, which is owned by the Indonesian Bakrie Group.

ARMS also announced Friday the following other changes in the board.

Bob Kamandanu will become Chairman of the Board, replacing Chris Walton. Sir Richard Gozney will become Senior Independent Director, replacing Nick Salmon.

The other Board members are:
? Dr Wallace King - Independent Non-Executive Director
? Alexander Ramlie - Non-Executive Director appointed pursuant to the Relationship Agreement between the Company, Ravenwood Acquisition Company Limited and PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal TBK.

Alexander Ramlie replaces Samin Tan as a member of the Nomination Committee pursuant to the Relationship Agreement mentioned above.
