PT Artha Sumatera Energi, a holding company of coal miner in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra is to ramp up production to 1 million tons this year, from about 700,000 tons in 2011.
The source of the company told Petromindo.com that it would keep increasing annual production once the ongoing construction of hauling road is completed as it would ease transportation snags in the area.
?We are still developing hauling road. Once it completes, we could up the production capacity per year,? the source said, adding that the current production was only from the concession area of 2,600 hectares.
Artha Sumatera Energi has five concession areas covering about 17,000 hectares with the CV of 5,600 kcal/kg (GAR). The total moisture is about 44 percent as received basis.
The company?s website says that Artha Sumatera Energi is the holding company of PT Realita Jaya Mandiri and PT Masindo Artha Resources which are coal mining companies engaged with prominent contractors to guarantee environmental friendly coal supplies.
The company has its own jetty located at Lalang River.
