T. Fachruddin, vice president of Aceh-based PT Arun NGL, has been appointed acting president director of the company, an official of state oil and gas firm Pertamina told Petromindo.com Friday.

Fachruddin took over the president director post from Hasan Saad, Pertamina?s downstream director Harry Purnomo said.

Harry however did not say exactly when the company?s shareholders had replaced Hasan with Fachruddin.

Arun NGL is 55 percent owned by Pertamina, 30 percent by ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia (EMOI) and the remaining 15 percent by a consortium of Japanese buyers (JILCO).

Arun NGL is one of the two liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers in operation in Indonesia. The other LNG company, PT Badak NGL, is located in Bontang, East Kalimantan.

Arun NGL has six LNG trains, but currently only four are operating due to gas source depletion.

Last year, the company exported 115 cargoes (6.5 million tons) of LNG and 9.4 million tons of condensate.(godang)
