PT Arun LNG & Co plans to export liquefied natural gas (LNG) worth US$1.199 billion or about 109 cargoes to Japan and South Korea in 2002, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.
Sunardi, the president of the LNG producer, said in Lhokseumawe on Monday that the company was also committed to fulfilling demand from local companies despite the export plan.
"In the middle of this month, the company will resume the LNG supply to PT AAF, PT KKA and PT Humpus Aromatic Group after being cut for at least 10 months,? he was quoted as saying.
He said that PT Arun LNG, which was forced to close its operation for several months due to the closure of the ExxonMobil?s gas fields, was upbeat it would be able to meet the export target as ExxonMobil would be able to fully operate this month. (*)
