Arun Regas receives fifth LNG cargo from Tangguh

Arun LNG Storage Regassification Terminal in Aceh, better known as Arun Regas, received on Thursday (today) the fifth LNG cargo from the Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua, PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), the owner of the facility, said in a statement.
The gas will be channeled to PLTGU Belawan combined cycle power plant in North Sumatra through the Aceh-Belawan open access pipeline. In the future, the gas will also be channeled to two industrial estates in North Sumatra, namely Kawasan Industri Medan (KIM) and Kawawan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) Sei Mengkei and various industries in Aceh, such as fertilizer firms Pupuk Iskandar Muda, ASEAN Aceh Fertilizer, and Kertas Kraft Aceh.
A gas pipeline is being built from Belawan to KIM and KEK. The project is now 72 percent completed and scheduled to come onstream in September of this year, Pertagas? President Director Hendra Jaya said.
