The government has allocated 12 cargoes of LNG for the Arun LNG Storage and Regassification Terminal or Arun Regas in Aceh which is operated by PT Perta Arun Regas (PAG), according to a top official of PAG.

PAG was formed by state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, through its subsidiary PT Pertagas, to convert the aged Arun LNG plant into an LNG regassification facility and operate it.

"For 2015, the government has allocated eight cargoes of LNG from Tangguh plant (in West Papua) for PLN and four cargoes from Bontang for PT Pertagas Niaga. So there are a total of 12 cargoes that PAG will receive in 2015. The demand is likely to grow. Recently, I heard that PLN was asking up to 12 cargoes," PAG?s President Director Teuku Khaidir told Petromindo.com.

Pertagas Niaga, also Pertagas? subsidiary, will deliver its LNG to PLN and its customers industrial zone in Medan, the capital of North Sumatra, he said.
