The North Aceh-based LNG producer PT Arun NGL & Co exported 24 cargoes of LNG to Japan and South Korea during the period between January and March, Bisnis Indonesia reported Wednesday.

"We are optimistic that we will be able to meet our commitment to export 113 cargoes of LNG or around 6 million tons this year to Japan and South Korea," PT Arun's spokesman Irwandar said.

He said gas supply from ExxonMobil-operated Aceh gas fields is sufficient to meet customers demand until contract expiration in 2014.

Arun NGL is a non-profit company whose single business is to turn natural gas into LNG. Arun NGL is 55 percent owned by Pertamina, 30 percent by ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia (EMOI) and the remaining 15 percent by a consortium of Japanese buyers (JILCO). (*)
