The Arun Receiving Terminal and Regassification Unit (RTRU) in Aceh is scheduled to receive first LNG cargo from the Tangguh LNG plant in the second and third week of February, according to a senior official of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina.

Salis Aprilian, President Commissioner of TP Perta Arun Gas (PAG), the Pertamina Gas subsidiary which operates RTRU Arun, said the plant was initially scheduled to receive the first cargo in January. However PAG and state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), the owner of the LNG, decided to postpone it in view of heavy rainfalls in Aceh.

The first cargo will be used for commissioning of RTRU Arun and the pipeline that will deliver the gas from the plant to PLN?s power plant in Belawan, North Sumatra.

PLN pays a toll fee to PGU for delivering the gas.
