Arun to ship swap LNG cargo to Fujian June: BPMIGAS

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said Aceh LNG producer Arun NGL will ship one cargo of LNG to Fujian this month under swap mechanism with BP-operated Tangguh LNG.

?We are now working on the schedule,? Marketing Division Head Agus Sapto Rahardjo told Petromindo.Com on Thursday.

Arun NGL, which gets its entirely gas supply from Exxon Mobil?s gas fields, will experience excess capacity this year as its East Asian customers dropped several LNG cargoes.

Tangguh LNG, on the other hand, is facing production delay due to technical problems and would not start shipment until next month, or several months later than originally scheduled.

Tangguh is contracted to ship 2.6 MTPA of LNG to CNOOC-operated Fujian LNG terminal under long-term deal.(godang)
