Arutmin records H1 2003 production increase

South Kalimantan coal miner PT. Arutmin Indonesia said on Monday it had produced 2.98 million tons of coal in the second quarter of 2003, making this year?s first semester production 6.38 million tons.
In the first half of 2002, Arutmin produced 4.87 million tons.
Earlier, the company senior official said Arutmin would set production target at 16 million tons this year, higher than last year?s production of 10.2 million tons.
Arutmin is a subsidiary of JSX-listed Bumi Resources Tbk, which is controlled by Bakrie family. (godang)
