South Kalimantan coal miner PT. Arutmin Indonesia is finally allowed by customs office to resume export after the company agreed to pay 5 percent export tax, a government official said on Thursday.
?One panamax vessel carrying 70,000 tonnes of coal bound to Taiwan is finally released by customs after being delayed for 5 days since Saturday,? said MS Marpaung, an official with ministry of energy and mineral resources.
Government had finally put into effect the controversial coal export tax, which many industry players see as a breach to Coal Contract of Work.
Arutmin is a subsidiary of Indonesia?s top coal mining house PT. Bumi Resources Tbk. (godang)
