Three Australians employed by South Kalimantan-based coalminer PT Arutmin Indonesia have been accused of violating work permits, local daily Banjarmasin Post reported Thursday.
The head of the Kota Baru regency office of manpower in South Kalimantan, Sugian, said the three foreigners --Michael FL, Peter Robert Morgen and Dannan Luke Smith ? currently worked as underground mining consultants for Arutmin, while under the permits issued to them, they were only allowed to work as maintenance employees at PT Tesco.
The papers did not provide details about Tesco.
The Australians were posted in Arutmin?s mining sites in South Kalimantan?s Tanah Bambu regency. Existing regulations oblige them to "report" their new job to the Kotabaru regency office of manpower, which is in charge of foreign workers in Tanah Bambu, Sugian said. (*)
