Asia Mangan needs 200,000 tons of coal per year

Manganese miner PT Asia Mangan Group needs 200,000 tons of coal per year for its 8x9 MW power plant that provides electricity for its future smelter.
?Until now, we have not chosen yet the supplier of the coal,? Vice President Processing Ahyar Alham told Petromindo.com on Thursday.
The smelter will refine the firm?s manganese ore into high carbon ferromanganese with a capacity of 128,000 tons per year. The firm held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project last December. The smelter which will be built in Belu regency, West Timor, Nusa Tenggara Timur province, is expected to come to full operation in 2016.
