Asia Pacific oil, gas conference to be held in Jakarta

The Asia Pacific Oil & Gas Conference and Exhibition (APOGCE) will be held in Jakarta on Sept 9-11.

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and The Society of Indonesian Petroleum Engineers (IATMI) sponsor the three-day meeting. SPE serves more than 55,000 members from over 100 countries, while IATMI currently has 2,000 members.

The conference?s theme is ?Creating Value: People, Process and Technology?, SPE said in a statement.

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro will open the meeting at the Jakarta Convention Center.

Keynote speakers will include industry leaders like Humayunbosha, president director of PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia; John Karamoy, president director of PT Medco Energi International; Peter Cockcroft, advisor to the CEO of Premier Oil plc; and Rachmat Sudibjo, chairman of Indonesia?s upstream oil and gas authority BPMIGAS.

Meanwhile, the meeting?s Technical Program will feature 16 sessions in which experts from 13 countries will share advances in technology and best practices with the delegates. (*)
