Asia Resource Minerals names new chairman

LSE-listed miner Asia Resource Minerals plc (ARMS) announced Wednesday the appointment of Wallace King AO as Chairman of the Board, on a permanent basis, with immediate effect.
The company said in a statement it will also be seeking a meeting of the shareholders of IDX-listed coal miner PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk to elect King as President Commissioner of Berau. An announcement regarding the timing of that meeting will be made in due course. ARMS holds more than 84 percent stake in Berau.
ARMS announced January 9 the resignation of Bob Kamandanu as chairman of the Board.
