Asiamindo sues Asmin Koalindo over contract dispute

PT Asiamindo Nusa Minerals (ANM) has filed lawsuit against coking coal producer PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup (AKT) over a dispute related to AKT?s coal mining project in Tuhup, Central Kalimantan, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.
In the lawsuit filed at the South Jakarta court, ANM claimed that AKT, which had appointed it as its contractor to carry out mining activities at the Tuhup coal mine, had unlawfully took over ANM?s heavy equipments it planned to use for the mine project.
ANM said that the takeover had caused it to suffer an material loss of US$23.69 million and Rp 910.76 million, and an immaterial loss of Rp 10 billion. (*)
