Indonesian miner PT Andalan Satria Lestari (ASL), the subsidiary of IDX-listed PT Dian Swastika Sentosa, has recently appointed PT Pharma Kasih Sentosa (PKS) as drilling contractor to conduct drilling at its concession located in Bayung Lencir sub-district of Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatera.

PKS will be using one unit of SGB-150 type rig and three units of SGB-200 type rigs. Geophysical logging will be handled by PT Surtec using two units of geophysical logging units.

Exploration drilling will be done using Open Hole and Touch Coring methods to complete the available model of the concession, which results will be used to predict the location of the suitable pit, while logging activity is done to accurately figure out the top and bottom elevation of the coal.

ASL has previously been acquired by Dian Swastatika Sentosa through subsidiary PT Bumi Eka Kencana Sejahtera (BEKS) for Rp 8.7 billion our around US$1 million.

ASL is a company that holds eight coal mining permits (IUPs) in Musi Banyuasin regency, South Sumatra, which concessions are located close to PT Manggala Alam Lestari, another subsidiary of BEKS.
